When Tigers used to smoke…
Rug and stool combination inspired by an old Korean phrase “When the tiger used to smoke” meaning “once upon a time”, and humor from folk paintings of bunnies holding the pipe for the tiger in horror.
Jasoo (Korean : 자수) – Korean embroidery is one of the representative oriental embroidery and has all the general characteristics of oriental embroidery.
This piece is a collaboration of two generations – Rug is made by HyunJi Kim, a young tufting artist working in Seoul, and the embroidery is done by Bokhee Gwak, a skillful craftman in Gyeonggi-do.
